A downloadable game for Windows

VERSION 2 UPDATE (COMING SOON):

MAJOR CHANGES

  • Improved the player's Heavy attack.
    • Horizontal knockback has been increased from 0.35 to 1.
  • Improved "Melee" enemy's stats and AI.
    • Attack Range has increased from 60 pixels to 95 pixels (measured from the centers of the sprites at 1080p).
    • Attack Speed (time between attacks) has been increased from 20 frames to 15 frames (measured at 60 FPS).
    • Added an Angered mechanic that activates after 2 seconds of the player being within the enemy's attack range. This was added to make these enemies harder to cheese, as it incentivizes strategic attacks rather than allowing players to endlessly hit-stun by simply spamming left-click.
    • While Angered, enemies will display an Angered Icon, as well as play a sound the moment they become Angered. As well, movement speed gets increased from 3 to 10 (the player's movement speed is 7), damage output gets increased from 20 to 30, and horizontal knockback gets increased from 2 to 3.
    • After an enemy attacks, its Anger Level resets, reverting any buffs it received.
  • Added a secret mode: Angry+.
    • Angry+ can be played by right-clicking the mouse on the title screen.
    • Changes to enemies: They are now always angered.
    • Changes to environment sprites: They now have a deep red shade.

  • Added an option to skip the opening tutorial.
    • Players will see a prompt in the bottom left corner that says "Press X to skip..." after leaving the title screen.
  • When the player dies, the game now simply restarts from Floor 1 rather than closing altogether.


MINOR CHANGES / BUG FIXES

  • Added "Version X" text to the title screen.
  • Changed the sound an enemy plays when it's about to attack to something less annoying.
  • Implemented a new sprite and sound effect for the player's Slam attack.
  • Implemented new sounds for successful hits from both enemies and the player.
  • Fixed a crash caused by enemies spawning damage hitboxes post-mortem.
  • Fixed a visual bug where the player sprite would face the wrong direction after being killed from behind.
  • Fixed a visual bug where the player sprite would jitter upon landing from knockback.
  • Fixed an audio bug where Infected Lamps would not play their death sound after the player's heavy meter had reached 1 bar.
  • Fixed an issue where full-screen switching with F11 was being prevented by the existence of two identical controller objects, which were cancelling out each other's code.
